The official newspaper of Forbush High School Survey Says...By: Amy Harrison - (2/14/00) Recently in a student survey, 52 Forbush students were asked the following question: “If you could change one thing about Forbush High School for the better, what would you change?” Students at Forbush would like to see several changes made: 25% of the students polled said they agreed with freshman Connie Clampitt, who said that first and second breaks should be longer. Next, 17% of the students agreed with sophomore Tyler Hoover, who said he would prefer to have more variety of foods in the lunchroom, or longer lunches. Ten percent of our students , including Nicole Miller, said they would like to see the dress code be less restrictive, while eight percent said they would like shorter classes or a change from the block schedule, as mentioned by freshman Tracy Myers. Six percent of those students said that they would like to see the prom moved from the Holiday Inn. As for the remaining 33%, their comments ranged from wanting to be able to have signs and noisemakers at the ball games to being able to sit in their cars before school in the morning. However, one student found nothing in need of improvements; Junior Julia Brown said, “I love this school.” |
