Local Band Searches for New Drummer

For the past year, Forbush High School's own Nick Martin and Matt McCarn have been performing in a band called Vent. McCarn was recently interviewed about the band, which was originally founded by McCarn and Martin. When asked what the name of their band means, Matt stated that it is a "vent" for their thoughts and feelings.

The band is currently searching for a new drummer after recently splitting with Phillip York. McCarn stated that Vent had undergone several lineup changes over the past year, including the departure of guitarist Rei Kawamura.

Commenting on the success of Vent’s self-produced CD, Soon You Will Know, McCarn stated that profit is not important and that they “are in it for the music.”

The remaining members of the band, Martin and McCarn, are looking for a new drummer and working on a new CD.
